Hiring Hanes on Homes was one of the best decisions I've ever made. They had some really creative ideas for our Kitchen and bathroom remodel, they gave our requirements careful consideration, but took the design much further than we ever thought possible, without being too fancy. First floor remodel that included removing walls, relocating and expanding the kitchen and adding a powder room to our 1939 house .

From our initial consultation with Chris Hanes through our final walk-thru with him, we were very impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness.  The vision and experience that Chris brought to the table helped us through design decisions that we had previously been unable to envision and prevented us from renovating our 73-year old colonial home. He spent considerable time with us to understand our needs and discuss a variety of solutions with pros and cons of each.

This major remodel took 9 weeks to complete. It started by removing our old kitchen cabinets, appliances, plumbing, plaster walls, Heating/AC ducts and electrical outlets. Additionally,  we enlarged the opening in a load bearing wall which required  the installation of a structural beam. The crew from Hanes on Homes were professional and respectful of our property, and took great care to ensure that the work area was cleaned each day before they left.

By creating our new kitchen space in what had been our dining room, plumbing was routed from one side of the house to the other, new electrical outlets and recessed lighting were installed throughout the first floor, and the hardwood floors were patched in several areas. Our new powder room was created in what had been our coat closet, which required new plumbing, electric and exhaust fan installation.

Chris was flexible and patient with us and his employees were great!  We are very happy with quality of work performed, and the short period of time it took for our home to be transformed into a new and modern space!

Hanes on Homes came in and corrected the previous contractor's errors at a reasonable cost.  They also built a deck, installed new travertine floor in bathroom and hall.  They installed carpeting and did finish work work.  They fixed two toilets and corrected the plumbing, repaired pipes.  Installed new windows throughout. Chris Hanes is thorough, He helps his clients by explaining and guiding them so they can understand all aspects of the job and offers sound solutions that are economical.  His work and craftsmen are excellent.

Chris Hanes of Hanes on Homes is very responsive, very patient, very considerate, very professional, a very skilled contractor, and a true gentleman. I am a long distance landlord and Chris helped me
greatly by coordinating seamlessly with my tenant and performing an array of home projects including deck work, electrical, plumbing, bathroom renovation, as well as kindly taking care of an assortment of smaller jobs too (such as fixing door hardware, mailbox, trim work, etc). Chris is a great communicator and always a pleasure to talk with too.
